After the suppleness of the Clos du Roy， from sandier soils， the 2019 Marsannay Les Longeroies marks a return to the structure typical of clay-limestone sites. Unwinding in the glass with notes of plums， loamy soil and smoke， framed by a touch of youthful reduction， its medium to full-bodied， velvety and layered， with chalky tannins underpinning its generous core of fruit， and a taut， more overtly muscular profile.
